In 2015, Cherise had the played the starring role of 'Matilda' in the last theatre tour of Peter Brooks the play 'The Suit'. The Suit is a play based on the South African writer Can Themba's five-page short story about innocence, evil, desire and despair.
Joined by the skilled and passionate Co-director, Marie Helene, the cast took the story on an international journey rehearsing in New Yorks Brooklyn Academy of Music and performing in Brazil, Taiwan, Macoa and Scandavia

British Airways competition that took 3 winning young Jazz musicians to the home of Jazz on their sold-out VIP party flight to New Orleans.
Grammy winning singer, songwriter and pianist, Jon Cleary, and double MOBO award-winning saxophonist, YolanDa Brown, selected the three winners who will ‘busk’ to 150 VIPs on the airline’s exclusive charter flight to the ‘Big Easy’ for Mardi Gras.
Cherise Adams-Burnett, 25-year-old Jamie Brownfield, from Powys in Wales, and 21-year-old Londoner Quinn Oulton will perform on board the sold-out flight that will also feature a sky-high set from YolanDa Brown.
All three of us secured the trip of a lifetime for ourselves and a friend, each winning a pair of seats on the flight, three night’s accommodation at the Hyatt Regency and Mardi Gras parade tickets.

As a second generation decendant to Jamaican Grandparents who settled in London as a part of the Windrush generation, Cherise acted on her inner responsibility to honour her culture, heritage and family by creating the childrens show, 'Evelyn and the Yellow Birds'.
The show explores jazz music and its Caribbean influences through this heart-warming tale, with a live band accompaniment

At the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. under the direction of Jason Moran, Kennedy Center Artistic Director for Jazz, the Jazz Ahead program identifies outstanding, emerging jazz artist-composers in their mid-teens to age twenty-five, and brings them together under the tutelage of experienced artist-instructors who coach and counsel them, helping to polish their performance, composing, and arranging skills.
buckingham palace - commonwealth heads of government meeting 2018
In April 2018, the Commomwealth Heads of Government met in the Ball room of Buckingham Palace. Cherise and 5 other talented artists were chosen to represent the cultural spread of British citizens.
TROPE - 2015 to 2018
Drawn together from across the British Isles on a journey from London - Birmingham - Glasgow, TROPE’s musical influences stretch much further afield. They started out life reworking and pulling around the music of Stevie Wonder.
2015 saw TROPE recorded their first original EP 'Butterflies & Dragons'. A heady mix of Soul, Jazz and Hip Hop saw comparisons made to the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, Brotherly and Heritage Orchestra. They have been featured on BBC Introducing, made the Bandcamp New & Notable Records section and were recently nominated for 'Best New Artist' alongside The Internet, Dayme Arocena and Kamasi Washington at the 2016 JAJ Awards in Japan.
